Alright
I will describe how a Raggare dress and stuff for ya. (In the fifties and later nowadays)
Raggare in the fifties
Becuse pomade was very expensive they had to buy the more cheap Brylcreem, steel comb was very common to style the pomp with(Always got one with me) Almost no one carried hat or stuff.
Jeans was cheap both now and then, so that was very common, white T-shirt or ordinary shirt was used, a black leather vest with red inside (Alternativ black leather jacket) was their signature, and if they where in a gang the would have their logo on the back of the vest/jacket.
The car and music was another signature for Raggare in those days, Rock´n´Roll and rockabilly was the music of choice (Of course
),American cars from the early 20´s and 30´s was cheap to buy and easy to modify, in those days the MOTOR VEHICLE INSPECTION didnt exist so many of the cars was not safe to drive on the roads.
Many of Raggare in the fifties didnt have the knowledge on how to properly fix a car, so they did their best to fix them (With a very mixed result),
Drinking beer and other alkoholic fluids was common, sometime even the driver was drunk, but it was a codex that the driver would be SOBER and it was the driver that decided when they should go home, always respect the drivers decisions!
Raggare didnt like punks and hippies, in the 1970´s the fight between punks and Raggare was the major issue for the Swedish goverment.
Raggare liked to fight, often two Raggar gangs would meet up and have a fight, it was clean fights without weapons and if someone was beaten to the ground his opponent would help him up, the loser would then buy the winner a beer.
Well that sums up the fifties Raggare
Feels like I have forgot something but I can always change that later.
PS:I just remeberd wat it was that I forgot, Eddie Meduza was a Swedish artist that made Raggar musik (Greaser music), he made songs like punkdjävlar (Punk bastards),Mera brännvin (More Homemade brandy) etc
