The epic finishing move. I had trouble with this page a looot. I was really going for a lighting that would emphasize Leo’s transition into Johnny-level awesomeness by implying jaybird wings with the blue cast shadows streaming off his arms in the spotlight. Success? Meh. It still makes for some fun lighting experimentation.

So many things to say! First, I’d like to point out that besides the page that Ronnie goes back to Johnny’s death in Chapter 1, this is my faaavorite page in the whole comic. I mean, it may just be the layout of the panels, but really this is outstanding, fyu! I love all of Leo’s poses in those three littler panels. Especially in the second one, The point of view on that on of Leo’s feet is just.. Wow. I never seen somebody draw a foot like that. It makes me want to draw feet. xD SEcondly, The point of view on the last panel is reeally rockin’ out and i love it. You got so many ideas that just amaze us fans’ minds. Thirdly, the shadows that you cast off His form in the last one where Pud catches him makes the comic stand out from other ones i’ve seen and gives it a sense of realism that i’ve only seen in a few other REALLY popular comics by outstanding artists. Lots of kudos today for Leo lol. So i guess that makes you one too, no? Haha. Anyway, once again all the expressions, poses, body language; it’s all phenomenal, fyu. Phenomenal as always.

Love this page. I think it’s really cool what you did with the upper three panels; they have this sort of 3D skew effect that represents the kinetic motion of the whole scene. :]
