Welp tonight was our (me and my sister)’s last night of the convention, as Sunday we’ll be out in LA with family. I met with Nancy Spears from Warner Bros to pitch an animated tv series. I couldn’t believe I was late 15 minutes because of me being stupid and not realizing a time zone error in my calculations. Totally dropped the bomb on that, but things seemed to go great, and I was honored to have the time with her. Connections and networking, that’s all Comic Con was about for me!

Next I met with Impact publishers in a portfolio review. They do a lot of tutorial books, how to draw furries, anime, cartooning, etc. I hadn’t originally built my physical portfolio for them, but I was able to bring up some of my tutorial examples on Deviantart to show during the session. She seemed to really like the style of tutorials, and said that their furry how-to was one of their best sellers. So that’s definitely a venue I want to check out!

Lastly I met with Ape Entertainment to do a portfolio review, which went far better than I could have ever hoped. Mr. Ray Height gave me some great and positive feedback, and was just an awesome guy to meet. Things went really well, and I can’t wait to see where all this convention experience will take me! Glory to God for all the blessings this weekend’s brought, as I can’t take credit for that!

So we ended the night by watching the Masquerade, oh after having seen Jamie Hyneman (Myth Busters) pass right in front of us. We saw some great costumes and clever skits. This was one of the most exciting weekends I’ve had in a long, long time, and hopefully the beginning of many more to come.

Now I leave you with some retarded doodles I did while waiting for portfolio reviews all day, as well as some photos from the con today!
